U-I-T is a portable mobile device designed for commuters to carry it lightly as folding into a bottle size, also have a movement experience as simple as riding a scooter.

To make this energetic city keep daily fresh, DSNY workers play an essential role to clean the dirt and make the “metabolism” of New York being fluent.How can we help these heroes to avoid getting injured? Following our streamlined and elegant shape…

Inspired by Nike BIg-O, I try to find other possibilities between wheels and shoes.

After deciding the main structure, I make a simple mechanism prototype to examine the feasibility.

There are plugs and latches to support the connection joint when commuters step on the board.

Also, the shoe tip protection and fixing strap can stabilize the front foot to let commuters put on the center of gravity, for a smooth moving experience.

Additional, the braking wheel and its sheet which are lack on a skateboard is a good method to decelerate on a scooter, and the rotary board can reduce the volume while folding, in the meantime giving commuters enough space to step on the rear foot for turning easily.

After unlocking the latches, pull apart two sides of the board, and just fold it .
